Gurrk

This website is named after my family's cat, Gurrk (or Guruk):

His name is Korean (꾸륵), and has been Anglicized here the best I could. We adopted him so we're not sure what the sound was intended to refer to, but there are some guesses given that he had a sister named Gorrk (or Goruk, 꼬륵). Both names are onomatopoeias. Their names were most likely meant to be either (1) the sound one's tummy makes when hungry (꼬르륵), or (2) the sound that the siblings liked to make to humans (Gurrk still likes to trill more often than he meows).
